Kainat has launched her career in the development sector, as a research associate, at the Burki Institute of Public Policy at NetSol. At the institue, she has been involved with multiple research activities. She holds a distinction in MPhil Public Policy from the Center for Public Policy and Governance| Forman Christian College. Formerly she has been an Erasmus research scholar at Middlesex University London, grantee of Volkwagon Stiftung's seed endowment and recipient of US State Department's cultural scholarship Global UGRAD. She also holds recognition from her university for a successful public speaking career and commitment to co-curricular student activities during her undergraduate studies there. Her research interests include intersectionality, gender, informal labor, civil society, and sustainable development in the context of South Asia.
